Liquid olive oil has to undergo a change known as saponification in order to become solid and, more importantly, to be something we can wash. Saponification is the process by which oils (or fats and oils) become soap.

There is also caustic in our soaps because you cannot obtain natural soap without caustic, this way you cannot achieve transparency and liquidity.

Soaps that are melted first and then refrozen unfortunately cannot be natural and you cannot obtain a natural soap base.
